Our Annual International Society of Veterinary Dermatopathology (ISVD) Meeting is on September 12th in beautiful Krakow, Poland and will be held in conjunction with the 27th Annual Meeting of the European Society of Veterinary Pathology and European College of Veterinary Pathologists (ESVP/ECVP).

The full preliminary programme for our meeting is on ISVD website: http://www.isvd.org however we are pleased to be able to announce that our "State of the Art" Lecture will be:

"The impact of animal papilloma virus research on the development of HPV vaccine including early and recent studies on the role of PV in carcinogenesis in rabbits, cows and dogs as well as immunological responses to PV's"

by Professor Slawomir Majewski Head of the Dept of Dermatology and Venereology, Warsaw School of Medicine, Poland.

We are recognizing the role of papilloma viruses in so more and more lesions from sarcoids to Bowenoid in situ carcinomas to pigmented plaques so this should be an excellent and informative presentation!

CALL FOR MYSTERY SLIDES - ISVD DAY

Do you have a fantastic /intriguing/unusual or just plain mysterious dermatopathology case that you would like a panel of international dermatopathologists to discuss?

If so, why not submit it for consideration for our Mystery Slide Session at the ISVD meeting
in conjunction with the ESVP/ECVP in Krakow, September 12, 2009?

We have a limited number of vacancies for submissions from members and meeting participants.

Submitted cases should be of dermatopathological /diagnostic interest or importance. Preference will be given to cases with good clinical pattern and supporting clinical data. Cases
do not need to have a confirmed diagnosis but cases without a confirmed diagnosis should have a good clinical work-up and differential diagnoses.

Slides need to be of diagnostic quality in terms of tissue preservation, slide preparation
and staining.

Here is a chance for those interesting cases that have been put aside to come into the spotlight!
